Default Engine Light

Coming home from Hot Springs, AR yesterday and the engine light came on at 9375 miles on my 08 Electra Glide Std. It stayed on for about 1 mile then went off. Stopped and gave the bike a good once over checking the fluids and such. Everything checked out alright. Light never came back on again. Anyone ever had this situation?

Welcome aboard. Check the codes through the speedo and see what you get for a historical code. That will better help pinpoint what it may have been.

Have you recently pulled the plug wires??
If so make sure they are fully seated...
Had that problem first time I changed plugs on my '06
Bike ran fine and then about a week later the light came on bike still ran fine..
I finally went back over what I had done and sure enough the wire to the rear cylinder was not full locked down and could momentarily vibrate loose enough to set off the check engine light.

Ditto for me after I installed chrome covers over the plugs. The bike ran ok but the rear plug wire wasn't on right.

Tried to pull the code today and the only thing to come up was "diag" When I pushed the odometer button again it displayed "P55Ptd" ??????

I'm on my way to the HD dealership to buy some chrome so I'll ask while I'm there

That's PSSPTD. Click it again to go through each section of that and hold for 5 secs. If you look in the diagnostic section of this forum, it will tell you how to do it.
