I just finished a frame replacement and engine upgrade on my 05 Electra glide. I went with a 103" with a fueling oilpump and pressure spring etc. I went to start the motor and it had fine oil pressure and was idling for about 10seconds, then died out. When i went to restart it, it fired up but had no oil pressure!!! I can hear the fact that its not getting oil so i know its not the oil light malfunctioning or the pressure switch not working. My question is what is the precedure to diagnosis this problem. I read the manual but it wasnt very helpful. Im thinking something might have clogged a line? I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Im 99.9% sure the oil pump is correctly installed. The oil level is fine on the dipstick.

Thanks in advance for any help i can get.

You had to split the case to do a 103"
Are you certain the oil galley holes arent clogged with sealer?
Did you forget the o-ring that goes from the pump into the case?
Did you install the o-rings in the proper locations where the cam plate bolts up?
If using a Feuling cam plate, did you plug the hole in the cam plate the directions call for?
Did you get the correct oil pump year?
Did you install gear drives? If so, did you get them timed right?
Are your pushrods adjusted correctly?
MANY things to consider.
Let us know what you find.
Yes i split the cases, I was very sparing on the sealant and im pretty sure the passages arent clogged.
I remember putting a new o-ring between the pump to the case.
Ill have to check but i think i put all the o-rings for the cam plate, i didnt have any leftover
Im using a stock cam plate but i put in the fueling regulator spring. But i figured that was for excess pressure so that probably wasnt the problem.
I did put in gear drives and adjustable pushrods and im sure its timed right, all the dots are lined up and the bike will start up and run, but with no oil pressure.
I just am stumped because it had pressure and then dissapeared on the restart, if it was low or wasnt there in the first place then i would have a better idea of a possible clogged passagway etc...
Took it apart today, Seems like the oil pump was never aligned with the crank and one of the gears broke. Putting in a new one tommorow, we will see how it goes...
