Relocation Horn
I was looking at the Kuryakyn Hidden Horns, they mount behind the right saddlebag, and cost about $130 from Eastern Performance.
I was also thinking about getting the Mini-Beast and mounting it under my tourpak.
I want to open up the left side of the motor, clean it up a bit. Cut the bracket and keep a nice clean look.
That's my winter project that I'll be working on this year.

i got the Kury hidden horns on my UC. They are a bunch louder than the stocker, but not as loud as some of the 138 db ones around. it is an electic horn (sounds like an old Buick). is not an air horn.
after installation, one of the horns kept coming loose in the bracket that ties the two trumpets together. I placed an additional bolt in this bracket. However, now I see where one of the plastic trumpets has cracked.
if i had to do it over again, i would not go with the Kurys. maybe mounting some real air horns where the kurys went, but for the price you can get a good set of Howards or other similar horns that are a lot louder and actually built out of metal throughout.
On an Ultra Classic under the tourpak seems like a good spot for a small compact air horn. I'm not sure how big the Mini-Beast is, never seen one in person.........anyone have measurements for it?

Now, back to the horn subject, I have done some research on this topic as well. I have heard the Minibeast in person. It is not all that much bigger than stock horn, and although it is loud, it's not much louder than stock horn. So imo...not worth the money.
If you relocate it to behind the bike, I would think it will not be as loud to the cage in front of you, and a hell of a lot more bothersome to you and especially your passenger! Has anyone located a horn up under the front fairing (not inside)? I would think that is the best spot, but again, just my opinion. I like the idea of an automotive horn - cheap and loud. No compressor to worry about either.
Someone else told me about taking the stock horn and mounting it on the bottom of the battery box.
I want a loud, out of sight horn......... does it exist?
LOL
