Default Relocation Horn

Anyone moved their horn under the fairing? If so is there anything special needed to do it?

Unless you put an airhorn under the fairing, the stock horn is not going to give enough sound to be of any use. Just my 2 cents....

Any other suggestions on where to hide the horn? My pipes are loud enough, I'm not even sure if I need it?

If you had an '09, there's room between the rear of the motor and the frame but on yours, the pipe is in the way. Mount a self contained airhorn in the fairing and it should be loud enough. You can pick them up for under $70 online...If you have to go through state inspection, you will/may need some kind of horn..

With the proper bracket, you could mount it to one of the front frame down tubes up high.
It would be out of site but still useful....

No. Just extend the two wires.

I mounted mine under the fairing on an '03 I had before this one but that's been so long ago I can't remember the details. With a couple of small "L" brackets, I mounted it without the cover to the bolts holding the speaker on the right side. I had a wiring diagram and was able to find the right wires to splice into under the fairing. I know this don't answer your question fully, but the point is you can run down the wires with the right diagram and won't have to run wires from under your tank to under the fairing. BTW, the horn could be heard, but not loud enough to get a cagers attention.

I mounted a Bad Boy Air Horn in it's place. Works good an IMO looks better than the cow bell.
