Here's the contact info where I got mine http://www.cyclewarehouseonline.com/shop/shop.htm

It was only $15 I believe and I really like the worm clamp, it can be put just about anywhere, and it is well built. I can email you a pic of it on my scoot if you like. And oh yeah, 2 minutes after I said it was staying on my bag rail I went and moved it to the crash bar!

NC is doing away with inspection stickers , not the inspection process but the stickers so I can take my plate off. It is attached to the left highway bar at the bottom screw!

Here in Texas, DPS trooper informed me that the inspection sticker is a "show on demand" item just like your insurance. So I took my stock mount it came on, cut the bend off of it, grinded down the sharp edge, put velcro on it and attached it inside the lid of my saddlebag. I have been stopped afterwards by locals and when asked why I didn't have one, I opened up the saddlebag, showed it to the officer, his response was "ok just checking"

Default inspection sticker

new York state inspection stickers are to be permanently mounted on your left fork, something like 12 to 16 inches from the ground. Any temporary fix, such as bolting and mounting with a plate can get you a ticket! Been there done that! If you run into a grumpy cop, or municipality who needs the cash, you're going to pay.

+1. This is common in Virginia and the law here don't allow it anywhere further back on the bike.

I'm in NY and bought a plate from the dealer when we got the bike. They mounted it right on there. No problems and it looks great.

Learn something new everyday, I thought I read where the sticker had to be viewable from the rear in Texas.

depending on where you live you can use a plate if it is permantly mounted to the bike there are two types of plates i've seen the first type has a hole for the mounting bolt which is then covered up by the sticker which means it can not be removed with out destroying the sticker, the other has a tab on one the sides for mounting the nut has to be welded to the mounting bolt or you could be ticketed for a removable inspection plate

As a resident of New York, I believe this is the most accurate response. I have seen NY inspection stickers on plates at the base of the engine guards and some people have not had any problems with it, yet. BUT, it depends on the shop doing the inspection, some won't place a sticker anywhere but on the forks. Or it may depend on the cop who stopped you, even if you are correct about a permanent plate, do you really want to waste time fighting it out in traffic court?
