I'm waiting out the jacket/vest. Down here in South Texas we can ride year round and the only thing that ever gets me is the cold hands. As is I'm good down to 50* but last week leaving Big Bend at 5:30am and 35* almost froze my a$$ off.
Ditto what every one else said. One thing about the gloves (and heated jacket liner): you want to adjust the temperature so that they feel "neutral" - not warm, but not cool - that way, you're skin won't sweat inside the garment. They are a great addition and make winter riding very pleasurable.
so you bought the gloves but no vest or jacket. what do you connect your wires to? i know the aux jack is down to the right of the seat. so do you have a 6ft extension running to each glove? just wondering

the sock, and gloves, each come with a "Y" cord. one end connects to the pigtail coming off the battery, and the long single cords, either go down your pant legs, or jacket sleeve. You'll never notice them.... unless you've gotten your clothes so tight you can't breathe

When you buy the gloves the harness comes with them. I guess the assumption is you are wearing a jacket to hide the wires.
