Anyone have one of the DG solo seats on their bike, and or have the pillion?
I see these on Flea bay all the time, from the little 2x2 pic they look nice, I dont like the studs in my mustang RK seat, and the passenger seat doesnt fit with my tour pack.
I would like to know if any of you have the Buttcrack solo or the big seat with or without the backrest, and if its comfy and offers back support. my mustang has the backrest, and I dont know if I can give that up, but it really kills the look of the bike.
Also any pics of the rear seat on a street glide or flt.
I've got the Big Seat, backrest capable, but no backrest. I also have the large pillion, but it's never been installed. So far I have about 1500 miles on it...very comfy and plenty of back support. It will move you down over an inch and forward about an inch.
meepers, i have an 08 flhtp with a danny grey buttcrack solo. i chose the seat because it put me lower and farther back in the bike which is what i need due to the fact that i'm 6-6. the seat doesn't provide a whole lot of padding, but i knew that it wouldn't.i can do about 2 hours and then i need to stretch out. i do most of my riding within 45 minute runs so for me the seat is great. long rides i have another seat that i use for 2 up. i know that they make a pillion for the seat as well. hope this is helpful. STRETCH.
thanks for the input, I was figuring the buttcrack was not going to be a good long haul seat, I know my mustang seat puts me down about an inch as well, the problem I have with most HD seats and even some aftermarket is the inseam, its so wide that I feel like I am doing the splits all day and its hard on the crotch muscles.
Harry, is it comfortable wheere it meets the tank? is it slim or wide?
I think I may need to find a local with the seat and try it on.. I just hate having 2 seats, one for round town, and one for long hauls...
The seat is very confortable. I did a rally last weekend, about 130 miles over tghe course of the day, lots of stop and go. Quality is very good. Where are you located...if you are near the Florida Panhandle, you can come by and try mine out.
I appreciate the offer, But phoenix AZ is a pretty big jaunt I really love the look of the seat, so I will put forth the effort to sit my *** on one! again, I really appreciate the input!
I have the big seat and only have about 1000 miles on it. It has a sm hump in the center which I'm not sure I like. I'm 5'8 about 160 lbs so I have no butt and this seems to be a little annoying. It does seem to be getting better and does seem to help my back. They have a long haul solo that does'nt have the hump. It is 10" wide where the front side cover points are so it is pretty streamline. If you would like a close up pic let me know.

THanks!
I bought a new Buttcrack solo for my Roadking Custom, used it one time and sold it. It was like sitting on a piece of metal.
