I put the 508's on my '07 Road King Classic and had to extend the wiring about 2 inches. It seems that MoCo shortened the wiring that year whereas in previous years it would work OK.
For cables, we used the stock length clutch cable and +2 inch throttle/idle cables and brake lines. I felt like that was too short and wished we had gone to +4 on those. The clutch cable worked OK in stock length though.
One question, the cruise cable, do I have to buy a special cruise cable with the cruise switch already on it or does any cable work? What cables do you recommend? Thanks.
