Default Dumb question

If you put on the chrome trim rings on your gauges can you still pull them from the inner fairing? Sometime down the road I plan on pulling it to have it painted.

When you pull the gages the chrome trim rings will stay on the gages do not tamper with them and all will be good.

If they come off or if you have to take them off to paint it, I used a very small amount of clear silicone in 3 places on each ring to take the place of the stick on stuff that came with the rings. Worked fine never came loose.
