Default 09 Models

I am thinking of going with a 09 Road Glide, I was wondering if any of you had to order your Bike and how long does it take to get it in. I have been looking around and none of the local dealers have one in the Color and Options I would want.

Where are you at? I didn't order mine, I found mine on a showroom floor w/many extras already on it. My dealer had two, but other dealers I looked at had either one or none, w/few (if any) extra amenities added. You won't be disappointed w/the RG regardless of how you get it.

When I ordered my Ultra the dealer had one on order for stock.
He just called HD and had them change the color to my request and it took about 3 weeks to arrive at the dealer and another 3 day to prep.

They will sometimes get one like you want from another store if you're willing to pay the travel to get it.

Don't worry about finding the bike. Find a dealer who you would like to work with and get your price. Once you are happy with price and dealer, I am confident they will "locate" a bike for you and bring it in. (Talk to them about locating one for you.) I myself was willing to order one and would have waited for it but my dealer found one and I had it less then three weeks later.

They have a network and do trade with each other. But finding the right Dealer to work with will take some work on your part.

Good choice on the bike though, and you will be very happy with a new FLTR.

Ordered mine 8/5 got it 10/1 but it was an Ultra FFSE, I don't know if that had anthing to do with the 2 month wait.

RG's are not the most popular touring model; thus not that many on the floor, well worth the wait.

I ordered my 09 Road Glide and it took around 7 weeks to be delivered to the dealer in Pittsburgh, Pa.
