One time a guy got a picture of his bike and a speeding ticket for $100 in the mail from the cops. So the guy sent a picture of a $100 bill with the ticket. A week later the guy got a picture of handcuffs in the mail from the cops. He paid the ticket.

State of Arizona

HOUSE BILL 2210ˇ Stipulates that if a person is found responsible for a civil traffic violation or a notice of violation for state photo enforcement, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) must not consider the violation for the purpose of determining whether to suspend or revoke the person’s driver license. ˇ Specifies that a court must not transmit abstracts of records of these violations to ADOT. This applies retroactively to July 1, 2008.

As I had previously stated......"As long as they get a clean and full picture of all your plate numbers, then you get a ticket. If you can cover a few of the numbers, or hide the plate somehow, you're home free.
It doesn't matter whether they can identify you or not. If they get your plate number, the owner of the vehicle pays the ticket."

There are some lawyers on here that should be disbarred.

this is an interesting read, how the laws vary from place to place. Here, in Alberta where I live, all they need is a clear shot of your plate and the registered owner will receive the ticket. They don't care who was driving. It can't be beat in court, many have tried. If you don't pay, they won't reissue your plate or drivers license the next time they expire. So they got you, and will collect eventually.

But the interesting thing is, what if an American tourist was photographed speeding. They wouldnt' have a chance of collecting. They might be able to find out the name and address of the registered owner, and I imagine they'd get an offical looking summons, and probably some percentage of the people would pay it. But they'd have no chance to collect if the person didn't pay.

We have a lot of cameras here, speed cameras and red light cameras, they are a real cash cow for the city.

We have the red light cammeras here and the ticket goes to the owner of the vehicle.

Analogy is it's your vehicle and you're responsible for it regardless of who is driving.
However; it's my understanding that no points are asessed to your licence for these.

All these are is revenue generating devices, several studies have shown them to INCREASE the number of accidents.

the problem with that, ( I know your not serious btw ) is that they have the boxes for the cameras all over the city at busy intersections, but they only have a few cameras that they move around. So even if you pulled one down there's nothing saying there would be a camera in it.

hmmm, well at night time it flashes so you'd know they were using it.... I was thinking more like a slingshot and a couple hundred mcdonald ketchup packets.

Maybe you can tell them your bike was stolen. Then you got it back!

Me a 3 of my bros were out riding, and the lead bike and the3rd bike (both in the left side of staggard formation) got the $40 tickets.
Might be best to stay on the right. LOL
