I don't know if this helps you due to the custom paint job - Here is the dates on my bike.

My bike 06 Ultra two tone had a ship date of April 5th.
The stickers off the bike show a final assemby date of 040306.
My Dealer recieved the bike 040506.
They let me help uncrate and prep my bike - taking the time to go over everything, this took about 3-4 hours.

I picked my bike up on the 6th. I took in some bagels & cream cheese for everone for taking the time with me.

Once H-D puts out the ship date they do a great job sticking to it!

And Kudos to Perry H-D in Kalamazoo - thanks for everything!

Good morning Basz

Great pictures. I'm going to try to do the same thing next week.

What exactly are you talking about - about paint? Did you order special paint scheme or something can you be more specific I'm a tad ignorant about this, sorry...?
I would think Harley-Davidson would keep a running count of how many bikes are built of each model. If they do this it would allow them to track every bike built by having a time and date of production and what number it was on the assembly line. This would allow them if a problem would arise “for instance bad fuel injectors” the bike could be traced fairly easily and repairs done. Also they would know exactly how many bikes of this certain model were built. If the bike becomes a collector's item the bike could be considered more valuable if it was the first bike built of its kind.

I am almost certain they do. I remember reading on one forum or another several weeks ago someone had contacted the MOCE looking for info on how many Aniversery model Fatboys or something were produced, they were able to find out how many were made for US distrobution, foreign distro., cali. smog equiped, which number in the series their particular bike was etc. etc... I dont know if it is typical to be able to get this detailed of information from the MOCO or not, maybe they "knew" someone who could help them, maybe they just got lucky and dialed the right number and caught somebody having a REALLY good day so they decided to be especially nice to them, maybe anybody can call and get this good of detailed info from them. Now I wish I had made more of a point to remember where I read that at and if they gave a number they had called... I dont think they listed any number where they had gotten their info from though... just HD customer support or something
