You will change the windshield on either one you buy to stop the buffering if it bothers you and get the best protection.

Ride both there is no better way to get a start for how they feel.
Nobody can explain it.

But don't compair the "stock Street Glide windshield" to any windshield. It doesn't do crap.

"Fairing lowers" on both bikes will help with wind protection tremendously.

Everyone I have heard that has the shark nose loves it. My only problem with it is that it looks too Goldwingish. Like the old vetters people would mount on the CB900's back in the day. I like the look of the Batwing.

+1 my thoughts too. I hope to purchase one in my life time. Maybe a retirement present to myself. If it is all about touring like they say I should be happy. However I want the lowers and tour pack/speakers like I've seen other RG's with. Do they come with an intercom system?

If you're wanting TP, rear speakers, and intercom that come with the bike, better go for the Ultra. If not, of course you can buy all that!
