i rented both bikes before i bought and the fixed fairing on the road glide

handled a lot better in the cross winds even my harley mechanic has one

and claims its the best touring bike built

ride safe

Here's the deal, if you want better wind protection go with the batwing. If you want better stability in the wind go with the shark nose.
It's a shame you can't combine the two but life is full of compromises.

The Road Glide handles better in the wind and give very good protection. I didn't get one because I can't get used to the fact that you can turn the handlebars and the front of the bike stays straight. Otherwise the RG is just drop dead gorgeous.

Batwing hands down. RG's are ugly and they buffet your head off.

RG with lowers and oversize Clearview windshield...hey wait that's my bike...LOL

I had an Ultra before the RG and the RG wins the wind protection battle.
