It was 105 or 110 shipped to me. PEZ allows a 10% discount for member from here on HD-Fourms. Like I said, money well spent. There have been several post of a lot of happy customers that bought them in the last few weeks.
What is the size of the speakers used in the '06 Road Glide? I was looking at the Kicker 6.5" marine speakers as a replacement. The specs shows that the Kickers have a better low end frequency response. My only concern is will a 6.5" speaker fit?
You have 2 issues putting 6.5" Kickers in. The size of the HD speaker is 5.25" and even if you made an adaptor for a 6.5", due to the opening in the fairing where the speaker plays, you would only ever get the energy of a 5.25"
The other issue is the cabinet the speaker palys in--aka the fairing itself. Even though another speaker will show lower frequency response, the fairing offers physical limitations, and offers ANY speaker a difficulty in letting you hear below 180hz. The speaker may be playing the livin hell out of 100hz but the cabinet wont let you hear it. This is one of the reasons we knew a car stereo speaker would never work "great" in a bike, just like our bike speaker doesnt work great in a car. The low frequency limitations the fairing offers is the main reason we added MAXXBASS (www.maxxbass.com ) to our amplifier for the Ultrasound system.
Whether you get our speakers or not is up to you. I look to other peoples expertice in the forums forwhat parts to get for my own bike--in this case, I know I can offer some expertice.
