Can anyone tell me what the p/a fuse controls? It's listed that way in the owner's manual, the rest have a better description. Just curious.

The P&A fuse provides power to the ACC switch on the dash panel, traced it in the service manual. Did not see it going anywhere else. You will only notice it missing if ACC switch is powered on.

It was not hook up on my 05 Ultra. One end was capped off under the seat. When I installed my heated grips, the instructions had me energize the circuit and the instructions for the Oil Temperaturre guage also used it.

Can you tell me about your heated grip install? I got a pair of HD grips from a friend - no instructions just the grips, the cable between them and another cable from the left grip with a two pin connector. The local dealer printed out a set of install instructions and it inidicates the cable should have three wires. What did yours have? Do you still have your instruction sheet? If so are you able to fax it?
Thanks in advance,
Jack

Thanks - I don't know why they couldn't describe it as such.

Mine installed and work great. Depending on your Model, mine ias an 05 Ultra, the install is just slightly different.

I keep all my instructions. This one is 11 pages. PM your email and I'll create a pdf. Time to ride now so I'll try to check on this tonight when I return.

The instruction sheet is J02983. you might try google. Basically the connector ifs found under the seat. It's got a dummy in it from the factory. Then Black to ground and the Orange/white goes to the P&A Ign on fuse block which also has one side empty from the factory. That's what I recall from my 05 Ultra.

One last thing: If you tie a small piece of cloth to a string. you can suck it through the handlebars much easier than trying to shove a wire. And check the length. There is 10.5 in extension that I hused. Sounds like you may need some parts depending on your ride.

Sorry but the snow just cleard and I'm off to get a scheduled Sert applied
