Thanks for that. I also have another son starting college in the fall. I don't know where he's going yet. From a financial standpoint, it looks like it might have to be either a metric bike or no bike. But it would be a bike that I probably would only ride a few times a year.
DO NOT waste your time or money on the vstar 1300,i thought i was doing the right thing by buying one because i was being a tight *** and didn't want to spend the money on a real bike. had issues with head shake, yamaha tells me not to let go of the handlbars....12,000 miles on bike started to get a knock in bottom end they don't want to stand behind there product because i did service work myself????why does there manual say you will not void your warranty doing the service work yourself as long as you keep all your receipts???got tired of there bull**** went and bought a 07 streetglide never been happier no regrets will not look back... good luck and don't be a tight a??
I traded my '08 super glide custom loaded to the max for my new scoot. The dealer that has it, Neidengards in Ohio has it on their website for $12,900 but I guarentee you they will let it go for a $1000 less, warranty expires sept '09. The bike rocks, only has 3900 miles on it and like I said, it's loaded.
Thanks. I may also check the one at my local dealer. It's loaded too with screamin eagle pipes. It would definitely be my first choice if I decide to spend that much. The other argument is that the HD may cost 3500 more, but when and if I sell it it will be worth even more than that (of course we all know that).
