Question ?? modified stock muffler

hi i have a 09 ultra. i wanted more sound so i got some stock cans from flea bay and I drilled out the cores through th end tubes. i love the sound, no backfire .

but i have read some posts about this can lean out a already lean motor. i have only put about an hour on the bike so far since the mod. i have no others done its all stock.

am i looking for trouble or do you think things will be all good. i have done these tricks to my sports bike with no problems. but this is my first HD .

here are some pics. please give me you educated opinion of this mod.
yes i know new slip ons would be best, but things are tight.
my concern is will i do damage?

As long as you haven't changed the air cleaner to a more free flowing one, you have nothing to worry about.

What size drill bit did you use and exactly where did you drill?

hey harry

i bought
1- 1 5/8" and 1- 1 3/4" hole saws
a extion for the hole saws i found a 9" extion
wd-40
3' of 3/4" threaded steel pipe
1-3/4" ip cap and a 3/4" X 1/2" reducer coupling for the pipe.

i drilled first in the outlet of the can with the 1 5/8" saw and keep it cool with the
wd 40, the baffle will come lose from the outlet side when you cut through it.

then flip it over so the inlet side is up and use the 1 3/4" saw and drill until it is cut off from inlet side.

then i used the 3/4" pipe with the reducer on the side that will go in the outlet side of the can, the reducer will center in the baffle, the reducer just makes it easy to keep it centered. the cap is on the end of the pipe where you will hit it real hard i used a 3lb hammer. i sprayed some wd40 in the inlet side of the can and beat the baffle out. it did get stuck. its a pain in the azz, i had to pry bend and drink a beer but it will come out. it bent the inlet side of the can a bit, but i was able to hammer it back to shape.
i`m very happy with the results!!

If this is all you've done the EFI mod should have no problem compensating for the minor change in exhaust.
