Simple Same reason some don't wear helmets or any protective riding gear NO SENSE. Wait till they crash once see what they wear then.

I've done the crash and burn and got over it. I do realize that when you are going down the interstate at 70+ it's not really going to matter what the hell you have on. I took my SG from In. to Fl. in Sept. and got a few funny looks as I was dressed in shorts and tennies, but it was over 90 degrees and I was all about comfort. On 800 mile days I'll wear what feels good to me...Mark

Because when you finally reach the t-shirt and leather extravaganza rally after 500 miles your dogs aren't too tired to hoof it around to check everything out.
