i see you are new to the forum.rule #1 don't be surprised at some replys .rule #2 don't ask why people ride with tennis shoes .it's an open forum what did you expect

+1---also have you had on boots during an Atlanta summer? 85/90 degrees - 90 -99% humdity

High top hiking boots. Covers everything and can be cut off/pulled off with enough force but still protect in a slide.

Had a buddy who had a pair of lace up leather boots that De-Gloved his foot in an accident. Yes, folks de-gloved as in the flesh of his foot was still in the boot. He lost his leg below the shin as a result. His foot got caught between the engine guard and the floorboard. He is still in a wheel chair after 8 months, poor guy. A hiking boot may have just pulled off after so much force. Who knows...

Just my opinion. Probably wrong.
