The only problem I have at the moment is on the exhaust heat shields. Especially the front head pipe. I seems that the chrome is cracking and spider webbing where the retention loops are spot welded onto the back sides of the shields. This is where the alligator clamps go thru as they go around the exhaust pipe. I will be bringing my bike in to have a few warranty issues done in the cold season so I won't be missing any riding.

i have 19k on my bike and the chrome has been coming off the rims for about half of them. Two dealerships told me "too bad" on the warranty cuz I live near the beach in florida. They said its too much hassle and they always get denied so they didnt even want to try.
About every third piece I touch or look at has something wrong with it. I have a 2004 Deuce with the top tree peeling and the billet brake lever bubbling. Only the rear rocker box on my Fatboy is bubbling so far.
Replaced mirrors once. Two sets of highway pegs started rusting almost immediately. Replaced bolts in saddlebag guards, rusted. Been riding Harleys since 1966, never had a problem with Harley chrome until this bike.
Within a month of purchase the chrome on the derby cover was bubbling so that was replaced free at the 1K service. Now there are bubbles on the chrome inner primary cover so that will be addressed at the 5K service after Christmas.
Surprising but under warranty.
