Is anyone having problems with Harley chrome? I have a pair of Harley Buckshot mirrors on my bike. The junk chrome is coming off both mirrors around the glass. It blows my mind that Harley has an MSRP of $220.00 for these mirrors and the chrome flakes off.
Anyone else having quality issues with Harley chromed parts?
If you are lucky enough to buy all the chrome you want within 60 days of bike purchase and have them added to the bike then each part gets added to the SRW warranty information and becomes warranteed for 2 years with the bike. Otherwise it's the standard P & A warranty.
They were probaly made in Taiwan or China.
Chrome on my primary cover was starting to lift, dealer took a picture
and sent it to MoCo,they said it wasn't bad enough to be replaced.
I'am so happy that HD stands behind their quality product.
Replaced mirrors once. Two sets of highway pegs started rusting almost immediately. Replaced bolts in saddlebag guards, rusted. Been riding Harleys since 1966, never had a problem with Harley chrome until this bike.
Yes on thew split vision mirror, no flaking just duller than the other chrome. My teardrop floaters are dull, the chrome is holding on both just not as shiney as the rest of the chrome?
I love the split vision mirrors and want to get them rechromed, is there any way to remove the glass parts in them?
