Sometimes a rattle shows up and one can spend hours if not days trying to figure out whats causing it.
While riding today, I began to hear a rattle that Id not heard before. Listening as close as I could and still trying to avoid traffic, I searched and searched. It seemed to be coming from some spot right in front of me but I wasnt really sure.
When I pulled into my driveway and up to the garage, I unsnapped the lower fairing pocket and reached for my door opener Velcrod to the backside of the pocket door. It wasnt there.
Looking a bit closer, I noticed it on the bottom of the fairing pocket rattling around. As I picked up the opener, the mysterious rattling stopped. Apparently, the glue on the Velcro got too cold, gave way, and allowed the opener to fall into the bottom of the pocket.
I would never trust tape the adhesive on Velcro.
I know some guys on here have said they Velcroed a garage opener to the bottom of the gas tank. I'll bet it has fallen off by now. LOL
