yeah yeah it's a harley but...it leaks oil (not prim or tranny fluid, i know since they're fresh and the oil coming out is dark) only sometimes...when i turn her off and lean her over on the kickstand i get drops coming from 2 places after a few minutes from somewhere behind the primary...i can go all day on the highway no probs...seems to be when i shift a lot...i'm thinking a seal?...any thoughts?
I just put my RK into service today for the same reason. If I cleaned it up real good and then drove it easy, nothing. If I rode a lot or got on it, drips a lot. My first thought was that the Trans fluid was over filled and when leaning it over, the excess came through the seal.
6000 miles ago the dealer fixed the similar issue by replacing the mainshaft oil seal and other misc items. So I'll be curious to see if it's the same issue tomorrow.
Check the right hand side mid head pipe mount. The mount mounts right under the clutch actuator cover. The two bolts for the header pipe clamp can vibrate loose and cause it to leak. I just corrected this on my bike.
Good luck!
i'm also noticing a weird noise, again sparatic, @ around 3200rpm...sounds like, believe it or not...a jingling coming from the front of the engine, first i thought it was my bell, so i took it off...that wasn't it...like i said earlier, it changed the trans and prim fluids, not a lot of shavings....and sometimes the bike feels rough...hmmmm

Probably the rear seal at the inner primary or the transmission. These will leave oil spots on the ground at the back of the primary. In either case, the primary would have to come off to fix.
