Fenders?

Will touring fenders work on a heritage softail?Do they both have 41mm forks? Same distance apart?

I started a thread and was told that a bagger fender would bolt right up to a softail. I have not done this but assume it would. A deluxe fender would bolt right up as well would a fatboy fender. I think a wide glide fender would work as well...

My understanding was a softail was 39mm and baggers were 41mm. I found this out while trying to put a RK nacelle on a 99 fatboy.

I have used a fatboy front fender on a Roadking, and it required an adapter being that the forks are wider apart on the Roadking. Having said that I would think that a touring front fender would be too wide to fit between the forks of a softtail.
