Default touring fender on softail

Does anyone know how much work would go into making a touring front fender fit a fatboy? In my search for a new front fender have found a lot of touring fenders at good prices but the heritage fenders seem to get more, and the deluxe even more than a heritage. I know they make a adapter to use FB on a RK but not sure if I could make it work for the other way. I may go aftermarket but trying to figure out all of my options first. If anyone has other ideas or companies that they have worked with let me know too. I do not want a cheap fender that needs a lot of prep work. Thanks

The actual touring fender is too wide for the Fatboy front end. I made the mistake of ordering an actual fender for a street glide and tried to think of every way to just use it. I ended up selling it and buying one from kcinternational for 69 bucks. Paint was not too expensive either.

Don't know how the fit works in reverse but a friend gave me a Fatboy front fender that was on his 2002 Roadking. So if the Fatboy fender works on a 2002 Road King does a Road King front fender fit on a Fatboy? Don't know but I tried the 2002 Fatboy fender on my 2007 Fatboy and it fits fine.

You can put a softail FL front fender on a touring bike with the use of adapters. You cannot put a touring fender on a softail FL because the touring fender mounts would be to wide. The touring front end is wider than the FL softail front end.

Default Front fender for 1996 FLSTN

Hello and good morning! I'm new to the group and looking for a front fender for a 1996 Softail FLSTN. Would a front fender bolt right on from other years? It seems to be a bit of a challenge finding one that's from a 1996. Thank you for any help in advance!

Front fender is the same from 1990-1996 them slight style change but will still fit (bolt on no modification) 1997-2006. So basically anything 1990-2006 will bolt on and fit.
