Unhappy BAGGER BOGGIE with a TRUE TRACK

I installed a true track on my 07 RG and my wife's 07 SG a while back. It never seemed to make a difference, my wife weighs about 145 lbs and her bike has a major boogie in the curves, I have checked the air pressure in the tires, played with the air in the shocks and nothing seems to help. As for my RG, it has gotten worse as it has 38k miles, I am going to check the torque on the head bearing, but aside from that does anyone have an answer or a suggestion on what to look for. I haven't contacted true track yet, I have always gotten sound advice from the forum. I'm going to take the true track off the bikes, and maybe go to a performance shock like ohlin, I can't afford the penske's. HELP!!!!!

Are you considering selling the one off your SG? If so, PM me.

gimmick, those that would argue the fact are trying to defend why they paid so much for nothing. course i have no knowledge of or have never been on a bike that has this added to it. so i am pretty much full of sheet. anyhoot. to each his own. if you have it and you feel more secure or have a seemingly better handling scoot good on ya!

Those devices won't help if you have bad tires or some other mechanical problem. They really enhance the rideability if everything else is in good shape.I would start at the front and work back untill you find what is wrong.

A few things on the RG that I would look at due to miles...Stearing head torque, stearing head fall off setting, stearing head bearings and bearing seat/race wear, front shock fluid, motor mount torque and rubber bushing wear, rear swingarm bushings.

All of these areas, in addition to tires & shocks, will be sensitive handling areas that are affected negitively by mileage. They need attention periodically too.

For the record, I do also have an aftermarket brace, and so far, I really like it.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks I'll take a look at all of the above. It's supposed to snow for the next couple of weeks so I'll have plenty of time. Thanks Again

Road Hawg - I had the same issues on a used 01 I picked up recently.

I added a brace, new rear tire, checked the spokes, checked the tire pressure, checked shock pressure. This all improved hanlding a bit, but the front end still wandered in curves. Eventually it got to wandering even in a straight line on the highway.

I ended up changing the stearing head bearings and adjusting the fall off setting. Turns out the front forks were low on oil too. All that fixed the ride right up.
