I know its not the coldest weather but left my house at 5 am this morning and it was a little nippy though. Nice ride to work. Got to a ride in might snow this weekend
Thats a little cold for me! My cutoff temp is 40. I live in central Florida and wont buy any heated gear to use only about 5 days per year. How many miles to your work?
Suppose to get down to high 20's here and snow down to 1500' by this weekend.
I live on the coast and from the bay widow in my living room, I can see Mount Hamilton and Mission peak. Really going to enjoy seeing the mountain tops dusted in snow with a nice fire going.
This is a rarity here as it's normally lows in the 40's and highs in the 60's this time of year.
Glad I don't deal with the snow and could 6 months out of the year like some do.
I was out last Sat and it was 25 F in the morning. I had my full face, soft lowers and gunlet gloves on and it was boarder line for me. They have sanded and salted at least three times this week so I might be done until March.
I assume you have heated clothes? Coldest I've ridden is 32 and sunny.
It was about 24 when I left for work this morning, no heated gear but I just throw on my chaps, jacket, face mask and winter gloves and I'm good. it usually warms to the low 50's by the time I head home, so not a big deal. I am the only one at work still riding though.
I put on soft lowers,a fleece neck balaclava,Fulmer modular helmet and HD heated jacket liner & gloves and keep on ridin down into the mid to upper teens as long as it's not icy. Gotta ride ,start suffering withdrawls if I don't ride!
it was 26F when we went out this moring then warmmed up to high 30's by the time we finished. heated gloves, sweatshirt, long johns, and soft lowers wasn't that bad but going to get heated liner
