from what i understand, the bulb style modulator does not work on the new 09 touring bikes. led style taillights are not compatible i guess. anyone have the official lowdown on this? really like the idea of letting all the idiots in cars know my intentions when stopping.
I believe the signal dynamics wig wag backoff works with both led and regular.
Its all you need back there. Flashes the tour pack lights 5 alternating flashes, then four pulses and then 3 pulses. cars stop one of two lenghths behind when they see that initial flash.
JMO, but when I see flashing headlights or taillights I figure someone is just about scared to ride. Hey, when it's your time,,,, IT'S YOUR TIME........ flashy sashy has nothing to do with it.

come ride in houston with 4.5 million a$$holes and you may change your mind....imo
+1 on the www.signaldynamics.com module. They have a module that will only flash 3 times then stop or flashes as long as you hold either brake. Very good module for the 09 baggers with LED.
Just an FYI... I am a technical Representative from Signal Dynamics and to be sure that anyone out there is aware there are 2 different brake light modules that will work with LED lighting. The BackOFF XP (for either LED and/or incandescent lighting) and the BackOFF WigWag which will modulate either as well. These modules are meant for you brake lights, and should not be difficult or impossible to install on any Harley.
That is the link for the BACKOFF XP and if you're still looking, which, i doubt 2 years later you haven't already moved on, lol... let us know during install of any questions or concerns!
