Saw a couple of RG's in the blackhills this summer with I assume apes but they had them set up so they could lay back on the seat and the bars came back to them instead of up. One guy must of been close to 7' tall, feet on the boards, knees up by the fairing boxes and as high as the tank and his head was back on the tour pack. Another guy had his pulled back so he was layn' in his OL lap.
I went with the Chubby WO517's for mine. I don't think the sig picture will show them very well but you can see some good pictures of them on the Chubby website.
IMO Apes are way more comfortable than the stock bars, I did 1000mi in a day and never mad issues with my hands-arms or shoulders. They are not for everyone, but hey that's why there are so many choices out there.
I have Wild1 mini apes on mine. Stock bars hurt my shoulder. I love the way the 8.5" works with me. Plus no need to modify the harness or brake lines. I'm 6'5" and have them ever tilted back. The only tough thing was taking apart the molax connecter and routing the 13-15 wires through the bars.
I hope this Forum is a bit more friendly than some of the other forums i have visited. So anywho forgive me if this has already been asked and yes i have searched BUT no luck. Has anyone put a small set of apes on their roadglide? I have seen some and some look really good and others look .... well not so good. Any help would be appreciated. Pics too if you have any. Thanks again
I've got 10's on my RK but my friend has 16"s on his glide.
