Every one hundred miles I stop for gas and a strech. They say at our age we need to get up an move around once an a while or we develope blood clots inour leggs...LOL
Once I get to 3/4 of a tank, I find the nearest HD dealer and have them fill it. They only charge $70 in addition to the fuel cost and I have the comfort and confidence of knowing it was done correctly by a certified HD tech!
Ok, I stole that from the brilliant 'how do I put air in my tire" post.
I usually just call H.O.G. and have them dispatch a truck to fill it up for me. They usually have the McCuff with them. I do have to buy a new lifetime membership for each fill up, so I try to make sure I need one before using My HOG card
HELP, I can't decide is this the stupidest question of 2008 or the one with how do I put air in my tire? please tell me that these people are just trying to be funny.
I usually get 160-170 off of four gallons, or until the low fuel light comes on. So roughly 40 miles remain at that point(07 FLHT with 5 gallon tank). I set the B tripmeter each time I fuel up to Zero so I am on top of how far I have traveld and estimate how far I can still go.
LMAO. Hope that makes sense.
I wanted to answer.... I fill my gas tank when it needs more gas added to it.
What he said! I do this also...Ya never know when the gauge or dummy light will go on the blink and this is another form of gas guage...Pardon the pun but, your mileage may vary!
