Dream Engine for a bagger?
What do you think, here are the parameters:
Great low and mid torque
Get up and go when 2 up
Great reliability
Smooth Cruising at 75
Reasonable Gas mileage 35 +
Reasonably quiet valve train
Reasonably quiet exhaust unless you get on it
I'm getting close with my 107 Axtell, but the cams have me still a bit confused... changing out the throttle body and the compression a bit but other than that... we'll see. I'm at about 100, 100 now and my Indy tells me 115 115 is not out of the question. Not interested in doing wheelies at 75 but I am interested in moving when I'm 2 up and loaded for touring.

So from your signature, it appears you have Baisley heads...???...
Don't dick around, call Dan and discuss what you have vs what you want. Nobody can tell you what will work best with his heads than him.
I would caution you that the stock TB on your 08 is more than adequate for the build you have and going bigger can actually HURT the bottom end torque, which is what you are referring to when you mention 2up touring.
Going at it by trying these cams, compression ratio, TB or that X, Y, Z is more of a science experiment. Is that really what you want? Talk to Dan Baisley & make a plan of exactly what you need to get what you're after or you will be chasing this til the end of time ~ that, I can promise.
