Default Wind deflector between forks

I have seen a wind deflector on a motorcycle that was mounted between the forks. Thus is to stop\deflect the air from coming in between the forks under the wheel. Does anyone know who sells these?

Thanks,
mjrod

Nevermind. It's callled a Front Fork Air Baffle. Did a search and found the answer.

I didn't know they made this. Does this reduce wind buffeting around the helmet? I have also seen the deflectors that look like wings that go onto the outside of each fork. Has anyone tried both...which would reduce buffeting more?

On my SG, I did the lower fork baffle, the fairing mounted "wings" and in a few weeks, I'll have my lower fairings.

When I put the fork baffle on, I didn't notice a big difference, but the fair mounted wings made a pretty nice difference. It didn't stop the wind, but it certainly pushed it down more (if that makes sense). The wind now hits me lower in the legs that toward the waist. Hope the lower fairings reduce turbulence even more, but I expect they may actually channel the air between thier top and the wings (just read something about this).

I have one on my Ultra. It helps reduce the draft coming up from between the forks under the fairing, but not totally eliminating it. It might also help direct more air to the engine. They are only about $25 and easy to install, so probably worth it.

I have the single baffle under the steering head on my SG, and after installing it I didn't notice a huge improvement in wind protection. OTOH, I installed the other type (Chrome Wind Deflectors) on my '96 RK and they made a major improvement in keeping wind from coming up from around the tank. Wind noise decreased dramatically. Unfortunately, these won't fit and SG, but if they did fit I would certainly install them on this bike. They also don't fit bikes with fairing lowers installed, so I'm hit with a double-whammy on this upgrade.

I installed the wings on the forks of my RK first and they helped the buffeting. I then got a chrome baffle that went between the forks and I hardly noticed any difference in the buffeting, but it's chrome so it's all good.

One of the first things I installed. If you look at the application you'll see that it really doesn't do anything at all to affect the rider. The baffle takes that head-on blast of air that comes in under the headlight and over the front fender and deflects it downward towards the front cylinder to provide additional cooling. Otherwise there is a stagnent or "drafting" space behind the front wheel and fender. A nice cooling benefit and well worth the $24.

Add to the fork wings and baffle some sort of lowers, such as the cheap ones Harley sells and it will reduce 70 percent of the wind, especially coming up over the tank and into your face.
