Handlebar not staying tight
Change the bars out on my Roadking to Harley pn 55954-00 and they just don't seem to want to stay tight. Knurling is good on both clamps and bar. I have they way tighter then spec, and after 50 miles or so, they start working backward, as they will not stay tight. Anyone else have this problem? Have thought about drilling a hole thru the top clamp's, into the bar and inserting a drift pin to hold them in place. Just noticed in the manual it says to place washers between the allen head screws and clamp. Mine is a 05 and did not have any washers when removed...anyone know right off if the bottom of the riser is open in the bolt hole , or is there a chance without the washer the bolts are bottoming out?.
