Default How come...

Seems like when I am interested in an accessory or possibly apaint set for my 1998 FLHRCI, tehy are for 1999 and up! What si the difference, if any, between 98 and 99 tanks? They went to one piece? I am clueless, I knwo the Evo vs. TC thing, but I guess I am just ranting herw. Even a shift linkage cover I was going to get is for 99 up.

In all honesty in my opinion it is to get you to update. buy a newer bike. The Moco makes these total changes so you cannot enjoy all of the new accessories. so you buy a new bike and have to start all over.

The engines and trans aren't the only differences (as far as parts) between bikes.
When did the company switch to Twin Cam? '99 I believe. You have a what EVO or Twin Cam?

i used a lot of parts from the 99 & up crowd on my 97 with no problems. on the tank, if you have a fi bike, just make sure it has the fittings for both lines on the left rear side. good luck

It's not that bad. J&P, and the entire aftermarket have tons of stuff for your year bike. And many of the 99 items can be fabbed to work on your 98. I've been able to Fabricate, modify or buy anything needed for my 89, including the stereo, etc.

Buying a new bike just to get some accessories is ludicrus. It's not hard to fab and buy what you want for a bike...

J&P was what I was going to recommend as well. There is TONS of stuff there.
