Default Anyone drop front end 2"?

Going to lower the front end of the SG, wondering how much to go, and what kit. More than likely I am going with the Progressive kit. I am put a 21" wheel on there so for sure 1" lower but how about 2"???? What oil would you use? Any pics of 2" front lowered bikes? thanks By the way rear is also lowered.

I dropped my front 2" using the Race Tech kit.
I like it over the others because I can set the emulator to the stiffness I need.
I'll be taking them apart in January and stiffening them up a bit as well as changing from 20wt oil to 30wt oil.
I've had a bottoming problem.

Hey BadPiggy,

Did you mold out the frame on your bike? Looks very unusual and very sharp! Back in the '70s I supported myself in part doing shave and mold frame jobs. Love to see some more pics of that sled.

I had my 09 RKC lowered front and back 1" mainly because of the wider seat issue on the new design. I'm not the tallest guy around so it helped bring me to a musre sure footed position. I really like the lower center of gravity and the way it handles now, Looks really sweet to. I would post a pic if I could get my lazy **** out to the garage to take some pics. I just bought this bike after selling my yamaha. I added some chrome, V& H exhaust with stage 1 AC and download. This bike is going to make me so happy this spring.

What weight is the SE heavy duty oil? I plan on taking my front fork tubes to the dealer and having them install the lowering kit.

Anyone know the difference between the two Progressive lowering kits? One says it is a "Drop In" and other just a lowering kit. Any help or part number that you guys have used. thanks

The frame welds were smoothed out...other than that, pretty stock.

I have a photo gallery here on HDForums with about 13 pics.

I also have about 100 pics on myspace account.
