I just purchased a jacket liner, and gloves from Gerbing, and I have to say I wish I’d done it years ago. Man-o-man what a difference. It was 25 deg. F when I left the house on a little cruise (50 miles) just to test them out. And I must say they were flawless. Had to even turn down the temps on them they were very warm. I’m going back to order there heated pants soon. It was a trip to ride (on dry roads) with a little snow on the ground.
The look on people’s faces when I rode by them was well worth the cost. My legs and feet got pretty cold though.
Have any of you used battery heated socks and what should I be looking for in them? Gerbings is discontinuing there socks for some reason or I would get theirs. Or if you have/had them do they work as good as everything else? Thanks in advance for any input.
Gerbing's heated pant liners will take care of your legs.
I wear heavy socks and high top waterproof boots (water proof means they are also air tight). I also have lowers so i don't get the wind chill so much.

Thanks for the review. I have been thinking about doing the same thing.
I agree...heated gear is the way to go for me. I recently got the TourMaster jacket liner and gloves. They did not have the socks, so I bought the Gerbrings heated socks.
The TourMaster gear has carbon fiber heating elements and the Gerbrings socks has wires running through them. The wires get tangled and are very noticeable when you stand on them. I wear thin socks, then the heated socks with heavy socks over that.
I hope someone has them with carbon fiber, I have not found them yet.
I have ridden in temps in the 20s and was very comfortable.
I've had the gerbing gear for a couple of years now. It pays for itself the first time you ride with it. As far as your feet go I keep an ample supply of these on hand. They will keep your toes warm which seems to be the biggest problem on cold days.
I have the jacket, pants liners and gloves and socks.....they are the best....I now have the Union Ridge Jacket and pants ( these are the ones that you wear on the outside).....
As for the socks..while they keep your feet warm, they are uncomfortable to walk in. I think that's why Gerbings discontinued them. I've heard they are coming out with heated insoles for the bottom of you boots/shoes. Might wait to see what comes out.
If you want the Gerbings socks, check out ebay, I've seen them there.

You are correct in that Gerbing makes an insole type of heated liner for the bottom of the boot. They have it now but not on the website. I talked to a girl there and she was telling me about them. I ask her why they quit selling the sock and she told me the liner is much better than the sock. So I’m off the dealer and going to pick up a pair of them and a pair of outer pants and then I will have the whole set. And then it’s riding time.
