Default Boot Marks on Exhaust

I have some Boot Marks on the Exhaust that happened while Riding and I am having a hard time removing them, what do you guys recommend for this that will take them off? I remember reading up on this before but cannot remember what was used for it.

Search function.
I use easy off oven cleaner (Spray on cloth away from bike) and 0000 steel wool.

Well said above. I heat up the pipes a bit, spray easy off on the rag (away from the bike) as it can mess up all your pretty finish, and wipe down the pipes ONLY. Then when the pipes are cool I wash it down...

Nola, I think you just got a new 09 UC if I remember correctly, had such a problem with mine had to get the dealer to replace the cover under warranty. Now have the SOOS 1" extenders no more rub marks. I used the same stufff Colonel Brassy to remove as my other bikes but it seemed to damage the chrome on teh 09 heat sheild, strange.

Had the same problem. Used Mcguires chrome polish and a penny. The penny left no scratch marks. Read somewhere on here about the penny. Worked real well

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Works great, no chemicals, won't hurt the chrome.
