I just got back from dropping off my Road King classic at the dealership. The bike has 450 miles on it and the 1st 400 miles were without the windshield so I didn't even here anything until I started to ride with the windshield now I hear everything. It might be nothing but the noise only can be heard in 4th gear. Its a whining sound along with a muffled alarm clock ringing.
I hear the whine in 4th on my Ultra too. I'm not worried about it. I've got two years of warranty. I say ride it like a rental[sm=badbadbad.gif]

Thanks for the replys some trannys just make noise, but it only seems to be 4th gear. I once heard someone say about transmission noises in cars that until it breaks don't worry about it. Because its to expensive to figure it out.
