After looking at SG's and EG's, I think I'm going to bite the bullet on an Ultra.
How much did you pay and what if any incentives are out there?
Hmmm, now what color?
You should be able to knock off thousands depending on the market your in.
I bought my 09' X for $18,793 OTD, 18,000 for the bike + taxes and dmv, no freight, prep or other crap. My salesman quoted me the price on the phone with NO management approval.
I'd work with a couple of dealers to get the best deal, be honest and up front and you'll get the best deal. Good luck, *****
Oh yeah, black is my color.
For sure MSRP and probably lower. No freight or set-up. They gotta do that anyway. Trade-in will also give you some haggeling room so you can almost always get more than what they first quote you. Go with the Ultra, because if you're thinking about it now already, if you buy something else, the Ultra will always be calling your name. Color? They make something besides black?
what about this deal?...msrp, tax, no other bs, 7 yr service w/tires, faring antenna kit, detach tour kit, SE "heavy breather" (i'll get slipons and PC later from Jamie), service manual...what else show i be asking for?...am i missing anything?...of course first i'll say i want $1k off msrp

Just bought a new SG on Saturday. $1500 under MSRP - no setup or freight. Took him 5 minutes to get the sales manager to accept. Then 20% off everything I added.
This was for a Black Ice/Blue Ice color combo- which is the hottest selling thing out there right now. BTW- if you like blue - you have to see this color combo. Best looking thing HD ever put out.
You might want to consider having a bike shipped to you. I identified the bike I wanted and did a search on www.harley-davidson.com. I wanted a 2008 Anniversary Ultra and found one for the right price (best listed price in the US I could find) at Hales HD in Mansfield Ohio. I was a little nervous buying a bike unseen but they gave me a good price and threw in some extras too. The sales rep I spoke with was JC. He found a reasonable shipping company (Allied/Federal - Costs about $675 to ship from Ohio to Texas). I origionally was going to use another shipping company but the three weeks kept stretching to four and the bike had not been picked up from the dealership. I then called Allied/Federal on a Thursday, they picked up the bike the next Monday and had it in the Houston area the following Monday, and I picked it up from their yard on Tuesday (didn't want to wait for delivery on Wednesday! lol) If you want to give Hales HD a try I have included their contact info. I have no regrets only praise for the owner and sales at Hales HD. Their contact info is: Jeff (J.C.) Cronenwett Sales
