I've heard of a "Tug and a Rub" but I'm confused now, what again is a "PUB"? I gotta' get this straight so I can figure out what I am and who I should and shouldn't associate with. God help me if I get it wrong.
I thought the "wristwatch" was the tell tale sign wasn't it? I gotta go back and re-watch "Wild Hogs" to figure out who the posers are again..
Then there must be a "MUB" too, somewhere in between the RUB and the PUB right? (Middleclass Urban Biker) and of course we have to throw in the "NUB" as well, (No Class Urban Biker) and the "WUB" (Wanna Be Urban Biker). Soooo many choices......
Maybe this will all be explained better in "Wild Hogs II" when it is released... (Can't wait!)

Personally don't care for this thread. I simply live my "down to earth" life and ride with anybody as long as they're not Yahoo's, Big Shots or Attitude Adjusters.
BTW, I've got BIG heart and love to be around people who have same toys as I have whether it's motorycling, snowmobiling and vetting.
I'm surprised to see ones in this thread who live in a climate that could be out riding but rather be here monitoring what ones being labeled...jeez, going riding if ya can, the rest of us are WBB (Winter Blues Bikers)
I know there seems to be some distaste for the RUB (rich urban biker) by some in the biker community, but the distinction to me seems to be blurred at times. We all know that the initial cost of a new Harley can be a significant outlay, then the maintenance costs, and of course the endless additions and changes with accessories. From the background scenes or the neighborhoods of the pictures shown on this site, many subscribers seem to live a pretty comfortable existence. If you have worked hard, live in an "upscale" community and accumulated some disposable income, does that classify an individual as a "RUB" because of their socioeconomic status? If you would rather hear the sound of true duals than the hum of a golf cart, does that put one in the "RUB" community? In my opinion, if a person is successful from an occupational perspective and enjoys motorcycles, they shouldn't be stereotyped because their achievement. What say you?
Being a RUB in my opinion has nothing to do with your socioeconomic status. The problem I have is when you put someone that has accomplished there goals, buys a HD as a status symbol and is a poser all in one! That is a RUB!!! Plenty of people I know that are well to do ride with the passion of a true biker. Nothing wrong with that! But the RUB will say 'Oh, there is a 20% chance of rain, not this week, I don't want to get water spots on my chrome!" WTF! Why would someone buy a $20k bike just to have it sit around. As long as you put in an effort to ride and I don't mean a Saturday bar hopping fling, and your bike isn't a garage ornament, your not a RUB.
