hi i`m working on my system install. how did you get the power from the battery to the front?? do i have to remove the tank?? if so how do i drain the gas.

Did you remove your tank ? When i did mine I removed the tank and put the wire in the harnes box under the tank.

 

I ran my wire under the tank console.

 

I did the same as flgator.

Suggestion...

From the sounds of it, you have not removed your gas tank before. Since you are going to go through the trouble of doing that, pick up a quick disconnect for the crossover line. Here's an example of the one I picked up:

It works great and makes taking the thank off the bike a 5 min job.
