Default Question for Batwing guys

I've ridden 07 and later Ultra's and Street Glides several times. It seems the bars on the batwing bikes "turn back" at the grips to provide clearance for the clutch/brake levers.

Anybody find this to be an unnatural/uncomfortable wrist position? It always makes me think I should get a RG.

Never gave a thought to the angle or why. When running in the country or mountains, never stay in the same position long enough to feel uncomfortable. But down the slab, I set the cruse and get comfortable, switch hand, move around. Never felt the need to switch bars. But the riding position might be uncomfortable for others.

Have an 08 EGS. Not sure to what you are refering. My stock bars feel perfect to me. I've not even rotated them up or down from the day I received the bike.

I feel the stock ones were made just for me. I couldn't be happier with them.

AS DAWG stated, I have the Khrome Werks sweepers too and love them. You can get the bars & a new clutch cable for a $100.00. The cost of making the mistake and getting a Road Glide will be much more than that !!!

With the fairing you probably have a tendency to "lean" into the wind and the more outward angle would be more comfortable. when sitting more upright behind the fairing, it feels good to have a little more angle in on the bars.

That's one (of many) great things about Harleys.

I rode another brand of large touring bike...readily available things like this are simply not to be had.
