I've finally convinced myself that I want to order a tour pak for my Street Glide.
I'd really like a tourpak with integrated brake lights built in (Ultra style). I believe this will have a list price of approx. $899.00. (Will likely order these from Chicago HD or Zanottis).
HD's Motor Parts book shows the "Road Glide Ultra tour pak" as the only tour pak currently available with built-in brake lights (Page 397) 53287-07DH. I realize I could buy a color-matched SG Tour Pak and add a fairing with a built-in brake light, but I really prefer the integrated brake lights as a part of the tour pak, and I likely intend to add speakers later.
Here's my question: Is the only current Tour Pak with integrated brake lights offered by Harley called the "Road Glide Ultra Tour Pak"? Or am I overlooking something more generically titled for all Touring bikes?
Considering I'd be ordering this in solid Vivid Black without the pin-stripe, I think this may be the one to order.
The P&A book lists the TP's as accessories primarily and does not include the OEM Ultra tour paks. You could get the PN for the vivid black Ultra TP and get the lights you want, but it would also have pinstripes per the Ultra's stock paint/pinstripe.
If you want vivid black, no pinstripes, you can order one, but you will need to add the Ultra light bar seperately. You might call HD Customer Service and see if you can do it differently, but I doubt you will have any luck--would love to hear otherwise, and perhaps with business being bad, they will be more helpful than they have been in the past. Good luck.
buckwheat what pingman said is true, or you can find a used one off a ultra and have it painted black, I have a mint black and smokey gold tour pac off a ultra with all the lights you can have for $525 shipped in the us. pm me if interested.

Thanks LeoHD. I may end up ordering the "Road Glide Ultra" in solid vivid black which I could have painted to vivid black for about $675.) I was really suprised to hear the prices for repainting a used TP! In the range of $300-$450...
I guess the other option is to simply order the SG Tour Pak and add a Luggage Rack with the integrated brake light or lighted fairing, but I was kind of hoping to also have turn signals integrated into the tour pak..
Buckwheat, some owners prefer to order the Road King Tour Pak since it won't have the AM-FM antenna connection on the exterior of the bike that the SG King TP will have. Also, Ultra TP's will come pre-drilled with three holes per side for mounting speaker pods which can be an issue for those not installing pods.
I got the Ultra TP when I got the Roadie , they put speaker boxes in , but no speakers , my good there , they "thought" they ordered the standard , but they actually ordered and charged me for the Ultra .. I prefer the Ultra for the extra lights and it does come with the liner , which I believe you wud pay extra for with the standard ..
I checked with the dealer today and it seems that any OEM'd Ultra TP would have the pin-stripes. So, I'm thinking of going with the Road Glide Ultra TP (which includes the lights and is capable of being ordered solid vivid black.) The dealer did notice, however, that the vivid black TP for 08 no longer comes up in thier systems... Only vivid black for 09... I can't imagine they would have discontinued this TP for a bike vintage that is less than one year old...
You could buy the SG TP and add all the extra Ultra lighting. You can buy it separately and install it or have it installed. If you look on the Harley website under Accessories then Touring then lighting then decorative lighting you can find the brake light/turnsignals to turn the SG TP into a Ultra tour pack. I believe the side lights are under the tour pack section. Not sure why they're put where they are.
