I had FBI install them at a rally last year (Free install with purchase). I bought them because I was having trouble reading the odometer on the stock gauges. These I have no trouble with. I love them. I took a photo of the stock odometer and keep it with my registration for verification of mileage. Kept the original too.
Can't they they be calibrated by a dealer to show the original miles? Your pic could be of any speedo.
I would think so? Great question I was thinking the same thing... they look nice thats for sure! Anyone have a picture of the Dakota's and a stock stereo headunit?
I still say it would be better if you could order them programmed with the correct mileage on it! But it is what it is... they look sharp as hell in my opinion!

Enjoy!
Wish I could afford them!

For everyone who likes these (a speedo/tach combo unit is on my wish list), yes they can be corrected to the bike's original/existing mileage. There is an FAQ section on the dakotadigital.com website:
Q- Is it possible to put my vehicles odometer reading on the Dakota Digital gauges or do I have to start at zero miles? I looked at the installation instructions but could not find how to set the odometer.
A- Dakota Digital gauges come from the factory at zero miles unless you specify that you want the odometer set. Dakota Digital can set the odometer on our digital gauges to a specific mileage reading. It must be done at the factory and there is a $20 charge for this service. If you do not specify that you want your odometer preset then it will be shipped from the factory at zero miles.
$20.00 + shipping seems pretty reasonable to have the original mileage maintained. So, Yes, it can be done and apparently pretty easily.

I'm waiting for my DD gauges to arrive. I specified I wanted the odo to read 11,650 miles to match my OEM odo.
