Talking 09 Exhaust More Aggressive ?

I had 2" Rush mufflers with a custom wrapped baffles on my 08 EGC. With only a few miles on my 09 Ultra I didn't notice any difference at first because it was new, stock, and quite. I was adding chrome yesterday and decided to put the Rush mufflers on the 09. WOW, I was pleasantly surprised at the completely different sound coming from the 09. I suppose it's due to the different exhaust configuration making it more like duals. It sounds much better and I noticed a lot more volume coming form the left pipe at idle. I believe it's a little louder and much more aggressive sounding with absolutely no popping. Even my buddies though I had put on different pipes and couldn't believe they were the same ones I had on the 08. It's awesome!

Ride well,

Jim

Fill us in on the custom wrapping deal. Glad to hear you made a favorable difference with parts you had laying in the garage, its always better when the cash stays in the pocket.

I like the Rush, put them on my wife's Heritage, plus I took out the packing, deeper sound. I took the SE pipes off the RoadKing and put them on the Ultra, sounds good, and I think also a deeper sound.

I bought new wrapping because the original material was brittle and had broken down. I believe the best and lower sound requires heavy packing material otherwise it gets tinny and loses the rumble we all like. I'll try to attach a sound bite a Little later today.
