I am looking for a new sound for my machine. Looking for some advice about some new exhaust. I am only looking to change the mufflers and gain as much rumble as i can?
Depends on the hearing of the beholder. I can't stand anything much louder than the stock Rinehart's on my Road King Classic. I tried a set of 2.5" RUSH but took them off after 100 miles.
2-things I can thick of to try. Go to "You Tube" and type in the different manufacturers names in the search bar. Some of the manufacturers have sound clips on their websites also.
I started out with the Rush w/ 2.25" baffles. I switched the baffles to 2.5" for more sound.
why is it you want the loudest pipes you can find? there's no need to draw attention to yourself or make those who don't ride be irritated by the noise your making. this is the reason why so many city's are cracking down on noise made from two wheeled transportation.
Vance and Hines Oval Slip-ons for FLHR '09-'10 .Now I would say that these are not the loudest rumbling sets around but they do have a distinct clean deep sound as well as some added performance. Not to mention that they just look kick *** on a road king. Clean down the sides and sick wide from behind. They are a piece of cake to install as well. The performance download is recommended as well from Harley at minimum. I have recommended many sets and installed many sets and never had one complaint. Hope this helped and good luck with whatever you decide to go with. The ultimate choice is yours. Take it easy and Get Ridin'.

+1 on that. If people keep putting on loud obnoxious pipes, non riders are going to try to do something about it. Let's face it, they far outweigh us in numbers. Why not find something that idles quietly but barks when you go wide open. That way you can have some fun without making someone else's day miserable. Oh yeah, another thing, it's a freakin Road King not a hot rod!
