Question Throttle Problems

Have a question about a sticking throttle. I have a 1998 Road King Classic. When the throttle is turned open, it closes very slowly. Am I missing a spring behind the air intake to assist witht hte closing, or ? I can't seem to find and referrence on the internet. Any help will be great.

I would first lube the cables and then make certian they are adjusted properly. I have had both cause that problem.

Have sprayed WD-40 down the cables at the grip, helped alittle. Is there a suppose to be a spring behind the air filter housing? I have one little spring back there, but it looks like there is a place for another spring.

you might try loosening the switch and throttle housing and seeing if you can slip it just a little toward the end of the bar. often the end of the bar will scrub on the inside of the throttle grip.
