Just a curious question: Have any of you had to have your ECM replaced because of a piggy back unit? I have been told that dealers replace ECM's due to some of the in-line tuners.
Don't do the circus, but you would think if it is true with all the people that are on the forum there would be one or two. Just trying to make an educated decision, that's all!
I ran V&H fuelpak on my 07 Night Train for 2 years with no issues. The only problem I had with it was the heat...from running lean. I'm looking into TMAX with autotune or Power Commander V with autotune now for my 09 Street Glide... That way I can richen things up and bring down the temps.
the ONLY people ive ever heard that from are dealers.maybe they want to sell u a sert
No doubt a dealer would prefer to sell you a SERT but if the dealers are stating this you would think somebody would fess up. You don't think a dealer would say something that is not true do you?
In all the reading I've done on the site, I've not seen anyone report having to replace ECM due to an in-line fuel module. About the closest thing I can recall is a guy having to replace the wiring harness because the pins were falling out. I didn't search for the thread on this, but the dealership said that he had installed the fuel pack incorrectly and it screwed up the harness.

I have not seen anything on this forum either but I have read about it on another forum. Some guy actually claimed he replaced 2 ECM's due to one of the piggy back tuners. Most on here speak very highly of the PC's and that is what I am considering but I certainly don't want to have ECM issues with a new bike.
