Default 92 vs 97 fork applications? Help

I have a 92 FLHTCU that was wrecked, I have decided to replace the fork sliders or lowers due to one fender ear being broken off.
I picked up a factory take off pair from the local dealer. The part numbers are R45833-97 and L45826-97. I am figuring these are off a 97. They look like the ones I am replacing. should i get seals for a 92 or a 97? Is any 41mm the same as another? Oh yeah, I also have the air in the front end.

Also, Pipes? The factory pipes are a slip in and flare, can I cut off the flare and slide over a new set? OR do I have to replace the headers as well?
